Chanting and Meditation Evening
Saturday 18 May, 2019
6:15pm for 6:30pm start

You are invited to attend The Centre of Ki's chanting and meditation evening on Saturday 18 May.

I know it's Election Day/Night and there is every possibility that you are more interested in getting the lowdown on who's going to be running this country for the next three years (if they're lucky!) but I have the feeling that some of you would probably prefer to be doing something else. And what better way to spend an Election Night than sitting around with likeminded people creating healing sound vibrations and deepening our connection to our inner selves!

In fact, considering the timing, the phrase "Think Global, Act Local" comes to mind. If we want to change the world, ideally we need to start with ourselves and our local community. So if you have any burning desires to change the state of the world we live in, then bring those thoughts with you for the evening and use them as an anchor for your chanting and meditation practice.

What to expect:
You will learn techniques to warm up the voice and facial muscles, learn vocalisation techniques and various mantras (Japanese and Sanskrit). Afterwards, enjoy the stillness of meditation. Following on from the meditation, I will be providing a light supper for us to enjoy.

What to bring:
  • Cushion(s) to sit on, or a sturdy fold up camp chair (I have limited seating available at my house)
  • Blanket to wrap around yourself
