What to expect​​
During Scent, Soul & Sounds you will be gently guided through various modalities including yoga and meditation, and learn the practice of incense crafting. You will be nourished with a lovingly prepared, seasonal plant-based whole food lunch and delicious afternoon tea snacks and herbal teas. The day will feature live acoustic music, all set in a beautiful space in the heart of the Barossa.

Your facilitators on the day bring with them a wealth of experience and knowledge in their various fields and are looking forward to nurturing you on this special day.

Leah Cooper, The Centre of Ki
Leah is a yoga teacher and retreat veteran, having run several day and weekend retreats over the last 15 years for her yoga students.
Trained in Japanese Yoga - a practice that incorporates asana, therapeutic exercises, breath work, meditation, shiatsu massage and macrobiotics - her practice spans almost 30 years.
Leah is excited to be collaborating with Carmen and Jack and brings her calming and grounded energy to the day, taking you through an Autumn focused Japanese Yoga practice, guided meditation and serving you a delicious plant-based, whole foods lunch.

Carmen Nemet, Lulanimoon Therapies
Carmen is a natural incense crafter, Shamanic Practitioner and a Ceremonial Beauty Therapist with over 20 years experience. She has a deep love of the natural world and weaves her love of plants throughout her offerings.

Carmen aims to support others to deepen their connection to the wild of nature through smoke medicine and scent.
She enjoys teaching others how to craft medicinal plants from the garden and how to turn them into natural incense.

Jack Crawford, Musician - Chasm
Chasm (consciously hearing and seeing myself) is the journey of Barossa Valley based musician Jack Crawford.
With over 20 years behind a guitar and a lifetime of vocal exploration, the sonic poetry of chasm invites a curiosity to one’s inner world - creating harmony and space to explore and allow more grace and humility for each individuals unique path.
Jack will guide through a journey of self-discovery and deeper understanding; nurturing the stillness and beauty found in the balance of sound and space. ​​
Frequently Asked Questions​

I’m relatively new to yoga, is this day retreat suitable for me?
Absolutely! Leah is able to adapt the Japanese Yoga practice to accommodate all levels. The yoga practice itself will focus on releasing tension from the body, stimulating the lungs and improving overall wellbeing.
What do I need to bring to the retreat?
Please bring the following items:

A yoga mat or large towel. We will provide a foam mat for your to put your mat over.

A drink bottle. We will have water available if you need a refill.

A medium sized cushion.

A blanket
-
An eye mask (optional)
-
Note pad and pen or pencil
-
A plant cutting or flower from your garden (or the neighbours's!)

A large container such as a rectangular Tupperware/takeaway container to take your incense home with you.

If I have an injury, can I still participate?
If you are carrying any injuries and would like to participate, please get in touch and let us know what your needs are. We will do our best to support you so you can get the most out of the day.

I have special dietary requirements, can you cater for my needs?
We are able​ to cater for diverse dietary needs. Please inform us of any food allergies, intolerances or food requirements when completing the registration form you will receive after booking in. Note that lunch will be plant-based and gluten free.

Important information
Tickets are not refundable. If you are unable to attend, you can transfer the tickets to another person, or a credit note can be given for redemption at a future workshop or yoga classes. ​
Please note, if we do not reach our minimum of 8, this retreat may be rescheduled or a credit note/refund will be provided.​
