In this video, I demonstrate how to prepare and apply a ginger compress.

A ginger compress is an excellent natural therapy treatment that can be used on various parts of the body to relieve pain, reduce stagnation and improve blood flow.

Applying a hot ginger towel to the body can help bring blood to the surface which promotes healing.

A ginger compress can be used in the following ways:

  • to the lower belly to relieve cramping associated with period pain

  • to the upper back to improve conditions associated with the lungs

  • to the lower back to relieve lower back pain

  • to joints such as the shoulder, knees, ankles, wrists and hands to promote circulation

  • use as a foot or hand bath to improve blood flow in the feet or hands

  • a warm cloth to the face

Please check with your health care provider/medical doctor/physician before using this treatment if you are unsure if it is suitable for you.

*****PLEASE NOTE *****

NEVER use a ginger compress on someone who has cancer as this treatment can stimulate the flow of cancerous cells through the body. Other types of compresses can be used for people with these conditions.
